Obituary
Mary Frances Gray who was also known to her friends and family as both "Sage" and "Marie" passed away at "The Gardens at Warwick Forest" in Newport News, Virginia on September 26th at the age of 70 after a short battle with esophageal cancer. The family will be holding a private funeral service at 11am on Saturday October 7th at St. Agnes Catholic Church located at 200 South Duke Street in Shepherdstown, WV. 25443.
Mary was born in New York, New York on February 22, 1947 to John and Frances Corcoran. She and her family moved to Hampton, VA where she spent most of her youth. As a young woman she worked as a licensed cosmetologist. She was a gifted and passionate artist and equestrian.
Mary was known for her adventurous spirit and for her love of animals and nature. She enjoyed cooking, dancing, camping, and reading among other things.
Her passing was preceded by her brother, Tommy. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Jimmy Gray; her sister, Barbara Corcoran; her two brothers, John Corcoran and Paul Corcoran; her daughters, Heather Bartlett and Holly Pawlowski; and her grandchildren, Gabriel Bartlett, Abigale Bartlett, Grace Bartlett, Helen Bartlett, Pearl Bartlett, and Katie Pawlowski.
