On Wednesday, October 21, 2015 the pilot and love of her life, Lt. Col. Reed C. Patrick, flew in from heaven to pick up his bride of 72 years Mary Frances Simmons Patrick to join him for eternity. Mary Frances was born November 7, 1921 in Warsaw, North Carolina and attended Flora MacDonald College now St Andrews Presbyterian College. Mary Frances is survived by daughters, Brenda Patrick Rauppius and Mary Reed Patrick Gerloff and husband Robert E. Gerloff. She was beloved grandmother (Nanny) to Brian, Tim, Lee, Carrie, Katy Reed, Brently, and Mary Randolph and eight great grands. She loved bridge, golfing with her flyboy, knitting and doing her morning crossword puzzle. She was happiest when surrounded by her family. Each of her children and grandchildren will remember her for her delicious Southern cooking and being the gracious lady that made an impact on each of their lives. Everyone that met or spent time with her immediately sensed her sweet and gracious Southern style.
