Martha J. Parker, 81, widow of James C. Parker, Sr, passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2013. Born in Roanoke, VA, She has been a resident of Hampton since 1967 where she retired from the Fleet Management office for the City of Hampton in 1996. She was also a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Parker is survived by her daughter, Barbara Albers Copley; son, Lee Simmons, Sr.; sister, Carol J. Howell; four grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

The family will receive friends from 3-4:30 PM Sunday at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home in downtown Hampton. A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM Monday at Wesley United Methodist Church by Rev. Jason W. Snow. Interment will follow in Hampton Memorial Gardens
