Obituary
Jean "Martha" Johnston passed away April 23rd 2016. Born in Greensboro, N.C. March 19, 1941, she was a Hampton resident for over fifty years. She was a graduate of Newport News High School.
Active in her community, she was a hospice volunteer, a Women of the Moose lodge member and Woodmen of the World member. Her admiration for our elder generation led her from C.N.A. to certified assistant activities director in the nursing home setting.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rodney P. Johnston, her parents Wilma and Lonnie Hall and her sister Delores Ann Price. She is survived by her son Victor P. Johnston of Hampton; her daughter Traci L. Johnston of Hampton, two grandchildren, three great- grandchildren and, her brother Arnold Hall of N.C. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend (my best friend). She will truly be missed. God bless you.
