Martha Lippert France passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2016.  Born in Cedar Rapids, IA, to Vaclav and Christina Lippert, she was a resident of Woodstock, New York until moving to Newport News to be near her daughter in 20 09 . Martha graduated from Coe College with a degree in journalism.

Martha was the owner and operator of an a ntiques business in Woodstock, NY and was a fixture at the Woodstock Fle a Market.  She was also a member of the Woodstock Reformed Church where she served a term as Elder .

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Noel Albert France and brother, Wencil Lippert.  She is survived by her children , Noelle France (Stephan Leanza ) of Gastonia, NC, Lynne France (Liz Conner) of Hampton and Greg France (Melissa) of Flemington, NJ; sister Vera Fager of Loveland, CO; grandchildren, Ethan France and Owen France; sisters-in-law Carol Leacox and Jean Means , and many nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank the staff and administration of Mennowood Retirement Community for providing a safe and loving environment and excellent care for Martha for nearly seven years.

A memorial service will be conducted at a future date at the Woodstock Reformed Church.
