Marlene I. Singer, 80, died Friday, September 16, 2016. A native of Patterson, NJ, she lived in Arizona for many years but had lived the last two years in Virginia. She enjoyed needlepoint, but her greatest joy was being with her children and granddaughters. She was a very loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt.

Preceded in death by her husband of almost 50 years, Bertram Singer; survivors include her son, Michael Singer and his wife, Ulisa of Mesa, AZ; her daughter, Carrie Gabele of Newport News; two granddaughters, Ariel and Sarah Singer; her loving sister, Phyllis Schwartz of San Diego, CA; and a special nephew, William Heller and his wife Janet of Hampton.

She will be inurned with her husband in the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in the Spring.
