Marjorie Boykin Edgerton, 90, widow of Ralph D. Edgerton, Sr., passed away on February 11, 2017 from Alzheimers. Born in Johnston County, NC, she was a resident of Newport News since 1944, where she retired as an LPN from The Chesapeake. She was also an active member of Parkview Baptist Church in Newport News since 1950. She loved to sing in the Choir, was on the Pastoral Search Committee, and was always ready to help in the Kitchen and around the grounds of the church. She was known for her quick smile. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Marjorie was preceded in death by the love of her life, Ralph D. Edgerton, son, R. Douglag Edgerton, Jr, and grandson, Gregory D. Walker.

She is survived by her daughter, Vicki Turner; four grandchildren, Justin Edgerton, Julie Fields, Josh Edgerton, Amber Edgerton; six great-grandchildren, Brandon, Krista, Kayla, Maddox, Katelynne, Matthew; and eight great great-grandchildren, Dylan, Aiden, Kurtis, Carter, Travis, Olivia, Oliver, and Zoey.

A memorial service to celebrate Marjorie's life will be on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Parkview Baptist Church by Rev. Rusty Beck. The family wishes expressions of sympathy to take the form of contributions to Parkview Baptist Church. Arrangements are by Berceuse Funeral and Cremation Traditions in Hampton, 75-825-8070.
