Marie Meador, 82 passed away peacefully on Friday, October 4, 2013 in her beloved home "The Rhondda" after an extended illness. She will always be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, great-grandmother and friend. Marie was born January 5, 1931 in the Rhondda Valley in South Wales, U.K. She had been a resident of Hampton for 41 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Emrys and "Fay" Walters, her husband, "Bill" William A. Meador and her loving companion, "Bill" William M. Cassaday.

She leaves behind many cherished memories with her surviving family of three children, ("her most favorite son") "Dave" William David Meador of Hampton, VA, Lesley Meador Conrad of Tallahassee, FL and Beverley Runnebohm of West Point, VA; her grandchildren Jason Hill, Megan Roberts Moats (Greg), Jennifer Conrad, Katie Roberts Buxton (Donnie), "Annie" Anne-Marie Conrad Michalski (Dan), "Danny" Daniel Conrad, and Sterling Runnebohm (Candace); great-grandchildren Kaleb Hill, Bryce Hill, Nicole Moats, Bryn Buxton and Avin Runnebohm .

Marie cherished her many beloved friends and extended family. She enjoyed a cup of tea and a biscuit with all and was always quick with a hug and kiss. She made everyone feel special and good about themselves. Her love of life, British accent, infectious smile and loving presence will be sorely missed by all. Marie would now say "Cheerio Love".

The family will receive friends from 5-6:00 PM Thursday, October 10, 2013 at Berceuse Funeral and Cremation Traditions in Hampton, 2609 Cunningham Drive in Hampton, Virginia. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will follow at 6:00 PM in the funeral home chapel.
