Marie Peace Goodrich, age 82, passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2016. Born to John and Lucile Peace in Shelbyville, Texas, Marie was a resident of Newport News for over 40 years.

She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Marie was preceded in death by 3 of her children, Cheryl Goodrich, Steven Goodrich, and Gay Alloway; and her grandson, Chris Alloway, Jr.

She is survived by her husband, Donald S. Goodrich, Jr.; her son, Donald Goodrich, III; her brother, Darryll Peace; her grandchildren, Lauren Mayo and Melissa Alloway; her great-grandchildren, Destinee, Avianna, Kamyra, Mia, Bryson, Karlel, Kalyse, and Arika; and her great-great-grandchild, Nyomi.
