Maria Schwarz Siron, 87, passed away on Sunday, September 7, 2025.  Born in Germany, sister to 12 siblings; she had been a Newport News resident for many years.  Maria enjoyed gardening, both growing beautiful flowers and delicious vegetables.  Her favorite past time was spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents Franz and Karoline; her husband, Garrett Siron; son Garrett Dean Siron; daughter, Deloris Siron; and grandson, Michael Siron; she leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Debra Dement; granddaughter Cheri Bohlinger (Dennis Johnson, III); and great-grandchildren, Christopher Bohlinger, Alexander Bohlinger, Gianna Johnson, Benjamin Goodale, Stella Johnson and Catherine Johnson.

A private graveside service will be held where she will be laid to rest next to her husband at Peninsula Memorial Park, Newport News, Virginia.
