Maria F. Lottes (Kübler), 86, passed away February 7, 2018 in Hampton, VA.

Maria was born in Karlsruhe, Germany on September 27, 1931 where she grew up, graduated high school, and married the love of her life, Robert, in 1947. They traveled to the United States in 1953 where Maria then became an American citizen. She always took her citizenship responsibilities very seriously. She was a wonderful wife and mother to three children, Jane, Barbara and Donald, Terry Lee and Jill; Oma of eight grandchildren, Jason and Nicole, Dawn and Leigh, Devin, Joshua and Amanda, Erin, Patrick, Jacob and Ian. She also is a Great-Oma of four grandchildren, Layne, Caitlan, Brianna, and Cowen. Her sister, Anita Hochdorfer and husband Victor; her friends Helga, Joe, and "Dusty Cat" will miss her deeply.

The family will receive friends at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home, from 6:00-7:30PM on Friday, February 9, 2018 . She was preceded in death by Robert in 1997 and will be interred with him in the Hampton National Cemetery on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at 2PM. She was dearly loved by all her family and friends and will be greatly missed.
