Margaret Johnson Powell, 92, died Tuesday, April 5, 2016. A lifelong resident of Fox Hill, Margaret was a member of Wallace Memorial United Methodist Church, a member of the choir and the Dorcas Sunday School Class. She had also been a member of Fox Hill Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, the Peninsula Good Sam Club and the Red Hat Society.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Edward F. Powell Sr.; son, Edward F. Powell Jr; and sister Shirley Cardwell. She is survived by her children, Sandra Powell Clarke and husband Reid; Neil Preston Powell and wife Susan, Timothy Ray Powell and wife Jodie; daughter-in-law, Ellen Powell Lasher; sister JoAnn Johnson; eight grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 11-12 at Wallace Memorial United Methodist Church with a funeral service to begin at the church at 12 Noon. Interment will follow in Clark Cemetery.

The family requests that memorials take the form of contributions to Wallace Memorial United Methodist Church or the Clark Cemetery Association.
