Margaret West Eacho, 77, died Friday, June 26, 2015. A native of Kinston, NC, she had been a Hampton resident for many years before moving to Richmond to be close to her son. A longtime member of Memorial Baptist Church, she taught Sunday school for 6 year olds, worked in the library, and was proud to always make sure there were flowers in the church. She worked at many 7-11s in the area from 1979-1999. Margaret took care of many family members in their later years and was always happiest when helping others. Preceded in death by her husband, William H. Eacho, her parents, Brice and Anna West, and her oldest sister, Marianna Ormond; survivors include her son, Louis B. Eacho and his wife, Christine of Richmond; her sisters, Tiffany Rankin of Charlotte, NC and Blanche Morse of Albuquerque, NM; two grandchildren, Daniel and Becky Eacho; and close friends, Allen McDonald and Amy Blow. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Thursday, July 2, 2015 in the R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home chapel. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
