Marcus Neil Shirley, 55, died in his home on Tuesday, June 17, 2014. Born in Casablanca, Morocco, he has been a resident of Newport News for 10 years. He graduated from business school with Associates degrees in Marketing and Management. In 2010 he began work as a pipefitter for the Norfolk Naval Shipyard. Mark was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia C. Russell. He is survived by his wife, Christine M. Shirley; father, Neil C. Shirley and brother, Kevin R. Shirley of Jonesboro, AR; sister, Susan C. Hayes of Yorktown; niece, Camille M. Clark of Hampton and great niece, Mehgan G. Mangrum of Yorktown. Mark's life will be remembered at 7:00 PM on Wednesday at Berceuse Funeral and Cremation Traditions in Hampton by Rev. Matthew Scott.
