Macon Elizabeth Sadler (Mickey), 78, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2021 in her home in Hampton, Virginia.
Mickey was born at Dixie Hospital in Hampton, Virginia to Helen and Coleman Fraser on August 13, 1942. She graduated from Hampton High School in 1960. She married the love of her life, Walter Nelms Sadler on August 20, 1960 at Memorial Baptist Church. She was a lifetime homemaker and loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. She also worked in the office and as a cashier at Walmart for many years. She loved her Lord and was a lifetime Member of Memorial Baptist Church where she sang Alto in the Church Choir. She loved to cook and bake for her family and friends and hold any and every baby she could get her hands on. She had a beautiful smile and amazing sense of humor and loved giving and receiving funny greeting cards.
Mickey is preceded in death by her parents, Helen and Coleman Fraser and her granddaughter Candice Couture.
Mickey is survived by her husband, Walter Sadler, her Children, Tammy Sadler Eshelman, Helen Sue Quinn & her husband Kenny, Elizabeth (Beth) Good and her husband Mike, Mindy Moore and her husband Zane and Walter Coleman (Cole) Sadler. She is survived by her sister Octie Louise Cartwright. She is also survived by her Grandchildren, Katie Quinn Mulvaney and her husband Thomas, Michelle Couture, Kenny Quinn, III, Kaylee Good, Jacob Good, Julia Good and Great Grandchildren Peyton Mulvaney, Warren Mulvaney, Carmen Forestiere and Levi Mulvaney.
Pallbearers will be Cole Sadler, Kenny Quinn, Mike Good, Zane Moore, Kenny Quinn, III and Jacob Good.
Memorials may be given to Memorial Baptist Church. The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the wonderful folks with Traditions Health, formerly Hospice Community Care: Nurse-Terri, Case Manager-Kim, CNA-Shemia, Chaplain David, Music Therapist-Abigail, Social Worker-Lisa and Volunteer-Valerie for the loving and wonderful care given to our Mother and ministry to our Father during her illness.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 1, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation immediately prior at 1:00 p.m. at Memorial Baptist Church. The Funeral Service will be livestreamed on the funeral home Facebook page at 1:55 PM or you may CLICK HERE. Burial will follow at Veterans Memorial Gardens in Hampton. Arrangements are by R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home.
