Louis Mitchell Kelly, Sr., 81, departed this life on Saturday, July 18, 2015. Mitchell was born on January 11, 1934 in Pinetown, NC. He retired from Casey Chevrolet in 1994 after 28 years of service. Mitchell was an avid fisherman and loved his family. He was predeceased by his parents, Otis & MaeBelle Kelly; brothers, Bill Kelly and Jackie Kelly; and sisters, Katie Hake and Irene Elks. Mitchell leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife of 58 years, Doris Ayers Kelly; son, Louis M. Kelly, Jr. and wife, Heidi of Murfreesboro, NC; son, Donald R. Kelly and wife, Dianne of Hickory, NC; daughter, Rebecca A. Pittman and long-time companion, Les Ghent of Virginia Beach; grandson, Mitch Kelly; granddaughter, Sami Kelly Ruddy and husband, Steven; granddaughters, Nikki Kelly and Jessica Kelly; great-grandson, Kolton Andrew Ruddy; and future great-granddaughter, Olivia Jameson Ruddy, due in October. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7-9 PM at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home 245 S. Armistead Ave, Hampton.
