Loluia passed away on 11-22-2015. Lol was born on March 19, 1923 at Falls Mills, Virginia. She was 92 years old. She was the fifth of nine children born to Claude and Rebecca Compton. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and three sisters. She has two brothers, Phill Compton of Hampton, VA. and Lewis Compton of Clear Water, Florida. She was married to Roy Lawson, he preceded her in death. Lol was the mother of four children, two daughters, Judy Harris (deceased) and Gail Leach and her husband Bob. Two sons, Mike Lawson and his wife Cindy and Keith Lawson and his wife Kimberly. Lol was the Grand Mother to eight and the Great Grand Mother to nineteen. Lol was a gentle soul placed on this earth. Family was first in her life and she was a people person. Lol was very active in her church, North Hampton Church of Christ . She founded, organized and ran a Seniors Club in Berkley Village when she moved there from Bluefield, Virginia. Growing up during the depression made Lol a very strong woman. She will be missed tremendously by family and all who knew her. She is going home in heaven to be with her Lord. A Memorial will be held at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, VA at 11:00 am Saturday, December 5, 2015. Arrangements are by Berceuse Funeral and Cremation Traditions in Hampton, 757-825-8070.
