Lois Jean Robbins Scott passed away June 9, 2014 after a yearlong battle with cancer. She was born February 1, 1943 at Fort Monroe, Virginia. She retired Civil Service from the Naval Base Norfolk Virginia. Lois was a 1961 graduate of Hampton High School. She will be most remembered as an avid reader. When in elementary school she won reading awards and in high school she read and audited books for the school library. Her passion for reading was passed to family and friends along with hundreds if not thousands of books. Lois was a great cook and two of her most popular recipes were her cheese ball and her chocolate ice cream pie. She never met a stranger and became a friend to all she met. She is preceded in death by her mother June Robbins and leaves to cherish her memory her father Clifton Robbins and friend Gussie, sister Sharon Andrucci and husband Max, sister Gloria Diggs and husband Weldon, son Charles Edwin (Eddie) Scott and wife Tammy, daughter Kimberly Bright and husband Jaime, granddaughters Kristen Edwards and Chynen Bright, grandson Timmy Scott and girlfriend Mandy, grandsons James II, Jessie, and Addison Bright, and great granddaughter Olivia Scott. There are many more family and friends to numerous to list that will miss her. We would like to thank Sentara Hospice for their help and kindness during this sad time. A special thanks to Dee Dehaven a volunteer sitter and the very special nurses aid Bianca Richardson for her special care. A memorial service and reception will be held at Hampton Moose Lodge, 207 East Mercury Blvd, Hampton, Saturday, June 14th at 2:00 pm. Her ashes will be released at a later date on the hill of Robbins Chapel Cemetery, Robbins Chapel Virginia.In lieu of flowers make contributions to the cancer society or the humane society
