Lois M. Barcus, 76, passed away March 29, 2017. Born and raised in North Carolina, she had been a longtime resident of the Peninsula. Lois devoted her career to caring for the residents at the Shelton Home in Hampton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Barcus. Survivors include her children, Cindy White, Mary J. Barcus, William F. Barcus, and Michael F. Barcus Sr.; sister, Carolyn Branch; brothers, Bobby Tugwell and James Tugwell; as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A private celebration of life will follow at a later date.
