IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lisa K.
Ward
March 5, 1959 – December 27, 2022
Lisa K. Ward passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 27, 2022, at the age of 63! Born on March 5, 1959, in Waukesha, Wisconsin she found her lifetime home in Hampton.
Her dedicated occupation of many years for Business Opportunity for the Blind alongside Bill Ward, and Mike and Penny Whitehurst helped her make a lifelong connection to many.
She was a lover of people who knew no stranger. If you knew her, you were family. Always the sentimental, she kept every card! She was always found at the dining room table sitting in her chair, and always willing to share a meal, story, time, or her favorite things at the time. A die-hard Ohio State Buckeye fan, lover of Elvis and Jeff Gordon, and she wanted everyone to share her obsession with The Hu. But her biggest obsession of all was her best friend and husband of 40 years David Ward.
Preceded in death by her brother Christopher Stone, her first-born child Michelle, and her precious cat "Lil' Bit"; left to honor her memories are her husband of 40 years, David Ward; daughter, Kaylen Ward, favorite daughter in love, Araceli Ward; grandchildren Hannah and Houston; mother, Mary Stone; siblings, John Kirkland (Michelle), Kelly Butterfuss (Lance), David Kirkland (Maryann), and a myriad of nieces, nephews, fur-grandbabies, and many special friends. To carry on her legacy are Bill; Tommy; and Wendy, her Ward siblings that loved and cared for Lisa as their own sister.
There will be a small private gathering on January 7th. And to follow, a celebration of life will be held in early summer.
