Lillian Frances Bailey Breeding, 82, of Hampton, VA passed away July 7, 2016 as a result of a long battle with cancer. Her husband, friends, and family were by her side when she drifted off to be with the Lord. She was preceded by her parents William and Mildred Bailey of Northampton County, VA and her brothers, Billy and Ronald Bailey.
She is survived by her husband, James Harold Breeding Sr. of Hampton, VA; her only surviving brother Jackie Lee Bailey, Sr. of Northampton County, VA; her son, James Harold Breeding Jr. and his wife, Rhonda Tucker Breeding of Disputanta, VA; and her grandchildren Abbigail Breeding, Isabelle Breeding, and Matthew Breeding.
Lillian was a beloved member of the community and could frequently be found volunteering at East Hampton United Methodist Church in Hampton, VA or spending time with family and friends. She was a devoted wife to her husband for 62 years. She made friends easily and always wanted the best for those around her. Lillian was a very personable individual who made everyone feel welcome like they were family. She made several sacrifices for her family during her life to make sure they were taken care of and felt loved. She always challenged herself and those around her to make the most out of life and their time here on earth.
The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 pm, Tuesday at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home, 245 South Armistead Avenue, Hampton, VA 23669. A funeral service will be conducted at 11am, on July 13, 2016 at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home with interment to follow in Parklawn Memorial Park.
