Leland Budd Forbes, 58, died Saturday, December 7, 2013. Born in Richmond, he had been a longtime Hampton resident and had worked many years as a scalloper.

Preceded in death by his father, Vivian "Bud" Forbes, he is survived by his mother, Golden Marchant Forbes; his brothers, Stephen F. Forbes and Bryon M. Forbes; sisters, Paula F. Holland, Cindy R. Rico and Pamela "Scotty" Loving.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
