Lee Etta R. Salyer, 95, of Hampton, passed away on November 11, 2016, after valiantly battling Alzheimer's. Born in Dante, VA, she was the youngest daughter of Robert E. Salyer and Audie M. Isaacs. Three brothers and two sisters, George R. Salyer, Kermit W. Salyer, Curtis W. Salyer, Bannie Fletcher and Thelma L. Ratliff predeceased her. A half-brother, Robert E. Salyer of Maryland, as well as, numerous nieces and nephews survive her.

She served as past President of the Telephone Pioneers, was an active volunteer with the Red Cross Blood Drive, as well as, a volunteer at the Old Sentara Hospital Pharmacy and Shelton Home in Hampton. She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church.
Born with a "mega watt" smile that would light up her face, Lee loved music and dance. She was a student of the Arthur Murray School of Dance and spent many happy times dancing at various venues in the Hampton Roads area. She was a very "classy and tasteful lady" in her appearance, demeanor and home.
