Lawrence "Steve" Stephen Keough, 67, passed away Friday November 3, 2017.  Born in Greensburg, PA he has been a resident of Hampton for over 40 years.  He retired from NCIS as a Special Agent.  He also served in the US Navy, US Naval Reserve, and Hampton Police Department.

Steve is survived by his wife of 42 years, Camille T. Keough; children, Michael Keough and Erin Ruth Keough; sisters, Laurie Hart and Peggy Walthour; and three grandchildren, Reagan, Remington and Declan. He was a lifetime member of the NRA and was active with the Boy Scouts of America throughout his life. He had a passion for model trains that began in his childhood. Steve dedicated his life to the service of others as he was a police officer, firefighter, federal agent, naval officer, a deacon in his church, and a Boy Scout volunteer. He became an ordained minister through the Assemblies of God and started a Law Enforcement outreach. Steve was a member and prior President of the Hampton Fraternal Order of Police Lodge. He will be greatly missed.

The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 PM Monday at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home in Downtown Hampton.  A funeral service will be conducted, 1:00 PM Tuesday in the funeral home chapel by Pastor David Highlander.  Immediately following at 3:00 PM, burial with military honors will be in Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, 5310 Milner's Rd. in Suffolk.
