Lawrence E. "Eric" Henderson, Sr. died Tuesday, January 23, 2024. A lifelong Hampton resident, he had worked as an electrician for Power Electric Company for 22 years. He loved throwing darts, watching wrestling, and fishing with his sons. Eric always took the time to speak to anyone he met, and he loved his family, friends and his dogs. He was a spitfire who lit up any room he entered.

Preceded in death by his son, Carl N. Henderson; he is survived by his wife of 36 years, Teresa C. Henderson; his sons, Lawrence E. Henderson, Jr. and Christopher W. Jenkins; his parents, Linda and Larry Henderson; his brother, John S. Henderson and wife, Linda; and three sisters-in-law, Donna Yox, Karen Bonham, and Rebecca Gardner.

A funeral service will be conducted at noon on Monday, January 29, 2024 in the R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home chapel. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 4-5pm Sunday at the funeral home.
