Klara Zischg Creamer, 95, passed away from a long term illness, on Saturday, September 3, 2022. Born in Chiusa, Italy she followed her beloved husband, while in the Army, to the United States. After tours of duty taking the family from Germany to France, Texas and New York, in 1958 the Creamer family settled in Hampton, VA. She retired from the Child Development Center at Fort Monroe after serving as the Supervisor for many years.

As a mother, she was a true matriarch, devoted with adoration for her family - husband and 6 children. She loved unconditionally and was dedicated to her children (and their families), even as she battled courageously through Dementia and Alzheimer's. She was a role model wife and mother. Her family will miss her immensely.

She is survived by her children, Richard Creamer and wife Eileen of Virginia Beach, Thomas Creamer of Albuquerque, New Mexico, JoAnn Bearden and husband William of Hampton, Mary Ann Warren and husband Jim of Smithfield, John Creamer and wife Carolyn of Fredericksburg, and Cathy Creamer Balderson of Gloucester; grandchildren, Myria Black, Brittany Lutz, Billy Bearden and Owen Balderson; great grandchildren Joe Black, Harper Jean Lutz and Hansen Jane Lutz; brother, Karl Zischg of Cologne, Germany; niece Brigitte Ferber, nephew Thomas Zischg, nephew Robert Creamer and wife Barbara, great nieces Elizabeth and Sarah. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Thomas Creamer and grandson, Stephan Bearden.

A funeral service will be conducted at 9:30 am, Saturday, September 10, 2022 at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home, 245 S. Armistead Ave., downtown Hampton with interment to follow in Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, September 9, 2022 from 6-7pm.

The family requests that memorial donations be sent to the Alzheimer's Association.
