IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kimberly Ferson
Howell
October 24, 1937 – July 2, 2019
Kimberly Ferson Howell died Tuesday, July 2, 2019. She was one of a kind. She was an original. She was tough. She was loving. She could be impatient. She was a pistol. She showed her love to her sons in meaningful ways. For a drama debutante with little sports background, she bought Virginia Squires season tickets to be closer to her two sons. She rarely missed a youth football, baseball or basketball game. Her love and her eccentricities made her unforgettable. She loved her mother, "Nonie". She loved her Uncle Harry. She loved her grandchildren. She loved Lizzie up close and personal. She loved Juliette and Oliver from a distance. She loved her close friends. She loved Tina Brown, Pat Overton, Quimby Amory and Susan Moore. She loved Kit Lewis, Ann Louise Thompson, and Sue Leary. She loved Benton Knight and Kenny Crum and considered them her 3 rd and 4 th sons. She loved the Outer Banks. She loved her many cats and dogs through her life – too many to name. As the B-52's once sang it: "Some say she's Mars or one of the seven stars that shine after 3:30 in the morning. Well she isn't. She came from Planet Kim. She came from Planet Kim." And verse 2: "She drove a Plymouth Satellite, faster than the speed of light." Yes, she loved her bright blue 1972 Plymouth Satellite (aka "Laura"). And most of the time, more than anything, she loved her two sons, Murray B. Howell, Jr. "Socy" and Harry Kimberly Howell "Hercy", and the sunshine. And she was loved in return. She'll be missed by her sons, daughter-in-law's Ann Cliett Howell and Michele Benson Howell, grandchildren and close friends. Thank you, Mom, for giving your two sons life, along with the life lessons to have a fighting chance in this world. God bless you Kimberly Ferson Howell.
