HAMPTON - On Friday afternoon, January 29th, Kevin Ray Ezzell, 39, passed away unexpectedly. He will long be remembered for his sense of humor and the love he had for his family. K-Ray, as he was known to family and friends, was born on November 9, 1976 in Wisconsin. He lived in Baltimore, MD as a small child and became a longtime resident of Hampton. He is survived by his children, Brittany Perry, Dominque McSweeney, and Kevin Ray Osakowicz; his parents, Marvin "Geno" Ezzell and his wife, Cindy and Connie Cocky Kendal; his brothers, Marvin Eugene Ezzell, Jr., David Keith Ezzell, James Steven Young and Joseph Eugene Woodward; his sisters, Heather Ezzell-Tuttle, Crystal Jean Woodward, Jennifer Ezzell, Angelica Mae Carter and Penny Cannon. He will also be remembered by many loving nieces and nephews. K-Ray leaves behind a large extended family to cherish his memory. The family will receive friends from 7-8 PM Monday at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with interment to follow at Parklawn Memorial Park.
