Kay Parker Barnes, born in Norfolk, VA and a lifelong resident of Hampton, died peacefully at 84, in her daughter's home in Gallup, NM on December 16, 2020. Kay was a devoted wife, mother and close friend to many. She was a graduate of Granby H.S. and attended the extension of William and Mary, now ODU. Kay worked for the Hampton Social Services Division supervising several residence homes for the mentally and physically impaired. She also was a foster parent.

She also leaves behind a large extended family and many friends.

A private graveside service will be held Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, Kay would be honored to have donations made to The Arc of the Virginia Peninsula (versability.org Click Here) in her memory.
