Kathy Regina Odom, 60, died Sunday, April 6, 2014. A native of Harrington, Maine, she had been a Hampton resident since 1967 where she worked as an Instructional Assistant at Machen Elementary School retiring in 2013 after 14 years of service. A 1972 graduate of Kecoughtan High School, she enjoyed playing BINGO and fishing and loved to spend summers with her family and friends at her Maine cottage.

Survivors include her daughter, Kirstie Odom; her grandson, Rhett Stephen Odom; her mother, Mary Lou Burgess of Hampton; her siblings, Rebecca Burgess of Pittsburgh, Robert Burgess of Yorktown, Larry Burgess of Hampton, and Elaine Gowen of Yorktown; her sister-in-law, Karan Kinton of Fort Worth, TX; seven nieces; two nephews; two great-nieces; two great-nephews; and lots of wonderful friends.

A memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Saturday, April 12, 2014 in the R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home chapel.
