IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kathleen Agnes
Carson
November 23, 1923 – April 6, 2016
Kay Carson passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 6. A long-time resident of Long Island, New York, Kay, with her husband Bob, followed her daughter's military family to Abilene, Texas and then finally to Hampton Roads and there planted her roots. Born of the Great Depression and matured in the realities of WWII, she developed the values that would guide her life and impart a lasting legacy to her two children, five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. At 92 years young, she was the life of the party and was totally dedicated to her husband of 69 years. Over the years she served as a WWII era telephone operator, augmented elementary school support staffs and then served as a volunteer with Saint Vincent DePaul. Her heart was pure, her love was deep, and one of her greatest comforts was her Catholic faith. She was loved by all she touched and will be greatly missed.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Agnes Parker, and siblings Bertha Moller, Ida Popovitch, and John and Charles Parker. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Robert Carson, her children: James Carson and wife Helene, and Pat Kippie and husband Pete, along with grandchildren: David Kippie and wife Diane, LtCol Kevin Kippie and wife Jennifer, Amy Carl and husband John, Timothy Carson and wife Danielle, and Dan Carson, along with great grandchildren: Caroline, Carson, Caroline, Ethan, Katie, Abbie, Madison, Mackenzie, Savannah, Kennedy and Daniel.
