Kathleen Marshall Boothe was born August 4, 1943 to parents, Earl and Helen Marshall in Bristol, VA. She died April 1, 2025. She and her husband, John Daniel Boothe enjoyed 62 years of marriage. Kathleen and her family lived in Gastonia, NC from 1974 until 2010 when they moved to Chesapeake, VA where they have resided since. She enjoyed a long successful career as a floral designer and she and her husband owned J&K Custom Designs of Chesapeake, VA. She always had a love of plants and flowers and was a talented floral designer. She made custom nautical and seashell crafts and jewelry. Her designs were featured at Smithfield Open Market, Pottery Barn, Macy's of NY,  Belk Department Store of Gastonia, NC and numerous gift shops and museums in NC and VA. Kathleen was an avid tennis player who was locally ranked and was on numerous local tennis leagues in Gastonia, NC. She painted with oil paints and water colors, she loved painting sailboats and oceans. Kathleen was a member of Central Baptist Church of Chesapeake VA for many years. She was a long time resident at Sunstone  Adult Apartment Community in Chesapeake, VA.

She is survived by her adoring husband John Daniel Boothe; daughter, Michelle Boothe Rhodes of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Amanda Grabowski of Atlanta, GA, Christine Grabowski of Atlanta, GA, Annabelle Jones of VA, Jacob Jones of TN, Chandler Jones of VA, Cameron Rhodes of Marietta, GA, and Craig Rhodes III of Manhattan, NY; and her sister, Nancy Brantley of Greenville, SC.

There will be a graveside service at a later date.
