Katherine Louise Darrah passed away at her home on Monday, August 28, 2017. She was surrounded by her loved ones.  She was a hard working mother who loved her sons very much. She came from a big family with 11 children, 10 girls and one boy.  She is survived by her 3 sons, Vincent Darrah, Randal Darrah, and Kyle Darrah;  3 sisters, Dorothy Stickler, Mary Murrillo, and Melody Phillips; and 4 grandchildren, Joe Z. Salazar, Kate-Lynn A. Darrah, Katheryne M. Darrah, and Steven D. Darrah.

She was born August 22, 1944 in Woodland, CA to Edgar Phillips and Mary McDonald.  She got her GED in the 80s.  She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and genealogy. She lived all over the western United States before settling in Newport News, with her sons.
