Justin Lee Smith, 37, of Hampton, passed away on January 8, 2021. He had been working in Hamshire, Texas, hoping to bring his family there shortly.

Justin was born October 29, 1983 in Newport News, to Teresa Philip Smith and Randy Smith. Justin graduated from Surry County High School in 2002. After graduating, he followed his dad into the farrier business, where he met Heather, the love of his life. Together, they worked with equines up and down the East Coast. He also worked on crabbing and oyster boats in Downtown Hampton, teaching his oldest son the importance of working with your hands.

When he wasn't working, Justin liked fishing with his sons and friends. He also enjoyed cooking, grilling, and days at the beach with his family.

Justin leaves behind to cherish his memory, his of wife of 16 years, Heather; their children, Savannah, Kyle, and Dylan; grandsons, Kaiden and (soon to be) Travis; mother, Teresa Porrovecchio and step-dad Jim; father, Randy Smith; sister Shelby Porrovecchio; brother, Jesse Smith; and many other family and friends.

The family will receive friends at Faith Church of God (1115 Todd's Lane Hampton) from 3-4:30PM on Saturday January 16, 2021. A funeral service will follow at 4:30 p.m.
