Junius Edward Warren, age 86, passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2024. He was born and raised in Newport News, and after serving a few years in the Air Force, he then served as a Postal Worker for the United States  Postal Service for over 40 years.

Junius was an avid sports lover and his favorite football team was the Dallas Cowboys; he passed that love down to his son and grandson. He also loved to cook and had many secret recipes that he would make at the request of his family and friends. He was a loving husband and spent the last years of his marriage caring for his wife Barbara, until her passing in the fall of 2020.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Warren; his father, William Warren; his mother, Ida Wherley-Warren; his siblings, Aquilah "Geneva" Jackson, Joan "Jo Ann" Hill, Idella "Ida" Mae Boykin, and Robert "Bobby" Warren Sr.

Junius leaves behind to cherish his memory his sons, Timothy Warren and Timothy's three children; Kaila, Korey, and Parker; Anthony Jackson and Family; Two great grands, A'zari and Calea and a host of nieces, nephews, and close friends.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home, 245 S. Armistead Ave, Hampton, VA 23669 (757)-723-3191.
