June Whiteed Menser, 68, of Hampton, VA, passed away surrounded by her family on May 2, 2023. She was born on June 25, 1954 in Hampton, VA to Eva Mae and Robert Whiteed Jr. June was a 1972 graduate of Hampton High School where she was a proud majorette. After getting married, she began her life as a homemaker raising her 3 children until school age before embarking on a career in real estate, and then for the last 20+ years as a nurse. Most recently she was employed at the James River Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

June is survived by her husband of 46 years, Daniel Menser II, her 3 children; sons Danny (Carmen), Jamey (Carlyn), and daughter, Lori Sylvester (Mitchell). She was blessed to have been Nana to 8 grandchildren, Caleb, Eli, Abby, Sophie, Josie, Wyatt, Willow, & Lily. She also had a beloved Yorkshire Terrier named Cody that was always in her lap. June is also survived by her brother Robby Whiteed III (Carol), and sisters, Liz Whiteed-Moose and Eva Frances (Al), along with several nieces and nephews, Lee, Timothy, Jesse, Laura, Jacob, Bobby, Emily, & Celia.

The family will receive friends at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home located at 245 S Armistead Ave, Hampton, VA on May 7th from 3-4 PM. A memorial service will follow at 4 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to ECHO Family Care Partners. Echo Family Care Partners
