Julius "Lou" Augunas, 91, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2018.  Born in Patchogue, NY, he has been a resident of Hampton since 1987.

Lou served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and continued to serve as an Army Reservist for 26 years.  He also retired as Vice President of DuoFold, Inc., in Mohawk, NY.

Lou was the beloved husband of Marion Chubet Augunas for 65 years; father of Peter Augunas (Brenda), George Augunas (Donna), Jeanne Davidson (Doug) and Dorothy Flanagan, widow of Thomas Flanagan; grandfather to Alexander, Adam, Autumn and Nicole Augunas and John Davidson.  Rest in peace dear one.

He was an organizer and first president of the Farmington Civic Association where he served two terms.

The family will receive friends from 10-11:00 AM Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 2150 Cunningham Dr. in Hampton.  Immediately following at 11:00, a Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Msgr. Sean Prince.  Interment will be 10:00 am Thursday at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Suffolk.
