Juanita "Nita" Masters Yeary, 83, widow of Charles E. Yeary, Jr., passed away, Monday, November 4, 2013. Born in Sapulpa, OK she has been a resident of Hampton since 1963. She retired as a Secretary with the U.S. Air Force in 1986 after 31 years.

Nita was a member of Hampton Christian Church, Christian Bible Study, Peninsula Piece Makers, and the E.O.S.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Yeary, Jr.. She is survived by her daughter Cathy Ann Benton and Michael of Newport News; sister, Carolyn Webb of Bristow, OK; grandchildren, Tristess and her husband John of Newport News, J.C. Salldin of Newport News; and great-granddaughter, Anna Rose Junkins.

A memorial service will be conducted 3:00 PM Thursday at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home in downtown Hampton by Rev. Tommy Markham.
