Juanita Sams Lilley, 55, passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2013. Born and raised in Newport News, she was a graduate of the Warwick High School class of 1976. She loved spending time with her family, gardening, and The Beatles.

Preceded in death by her father, Tommy F. Sams; survivors include her husband, John H. Lilley; two daughters, Amber Lilley Hughes and her husband, Adam and Jessica M. Lilley all of Newport News; her mother, Carolyn Sams Mooney of Hampton; her sister, Sherri Roper and her husband, Paul of Alabaster, AL; her brother, Ronald S. Sams and his wife, Debbie of Hampton; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Monday, September 16, 2013 at Berceuse Funeral and Cremation Traditions, 2609 Cunningham Drive, Hampton by Pastor Cliff Jordan. The family will receive friends before the service, beginning at 10:30.
