Joyce Faye Hudgins, 63, died Thursday, April 9, 2015. Born in Richmond, she was a longtime Hampton resident and was a former member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. A true animal lover, she was a dog breeder for a short time and she enjoyed being outside working in the yard and liked to fish. She spent many hours bowling and playing board games. Preceded in death by her son, Christopher Forrest, her parents, Virginia and Elmer Hudgins, and her brother, Wayne Young Hudgins; survivors include her sons, Scott Allen Forrest and John Forrest; her sister, Bonnie Pittman; her brother, Roland, "Buddy" Hudgins; and her sister, Maria McGee. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at a later date. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 512 Buckroe Avenue, Hampton, VA 23664.
