Joy Marie Mishoe-Spruill, 84, died Wednesday, September 18, 2024. Born in Iowa, she was a longtime Hampton resident. She was a loving homemaker and enjoyed boating, fishing, spending time with family, going on cruises and reading.

Preceded in death by her husband, Horace Spruill; her daughter, Debra Gail Pitts; and two brothers, Thomas and Jerry Jenkins; survivors include her daughter, Laurie Langille; her sons, Robert E. Hurley (Dixie), Anthony Spruill (Sandra), Larry Bourget (Debbie), and Billy Spruill; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 11-12:30 Saturday at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home with a funeral service beginning at 12:30. Interment will follow in Hampton Memorial Gardens. The funeral service may be watched live by clicking HERE after 12:25pm.
