Joseph H. Tanoury, 66, passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2016. Born and raised in Hampton, Joe graduated from Peninsula Catholic High School in 1968 and attended Thomas Nelson Community College. He was a life insurance broker for many years.

Joe was an accomplished photographer, which was his true passion. His art was inspired by his love of nature's beauty, especially the serenity of a magnificent sunset. Joe's photographs were proudly displayed at Blue Skies Gallery in Hampton and at the Smithfield Farmer's Market.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Katharina and Matthew Tanoury, and his canine children, Holly Pepe, and his special buddy, Teddy. Joe is survived by his loving wife, Janice Scott Tanoury, and his remaining canine children, Missy and Cooper.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Parklawn Memorial Park. Friends are invited back to the home for a reception following the service.
