Joseph Ashby Sharp, age 82, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2018. Born to Woodford and Elma Sharp on March 13, 1935, Joe was a lifelong resident of Hampton and grew up in Phoebus.  A graduate of University of Kentucky and dedicated Wildcat fan, Joe played football in high school and college.  He was actively involved as a Deacon at Wythe Presbyterian Church, PTAs, and Special Olympics.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, June Sharp; daughters, Dr. Jennifer Sharp-Warthan(Danny), Judy Yarborough(Gary), and Joanne Julian(Kenny); five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
