Joseph P. Anderson, 50, died Saturday, June 21, 2014. Joe was a native and lifelong resident of Hampton and had worked as maintenance director for Youth Challenge and then worked with Olympia Development as a building engineer. Joe is survived by his wife, Teresa Lynn Anderson; children, Terry Gainey, Michael Gainey, Brandon Keaton, Destiny Vickers, and Jennifer Vickers; sisters and brothers, Bill E. Anderson, Jr. (Claire), Edith M. Dickerson (Danny), Phyllis A. Anderson-Ward (William), Susan A. Oweis (Jamal), and Vicki L. Anderson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill Eugene and Thelma Lee Anderson; and sister, Pamela D. Anderson. The family will receive friends Monday from 6-7 PM at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Tuesday at the funeral home by Pastor Troy Collier with interment to follow in Parklawn Memorial Park.
