Johnny David "Dave" Sanders, 73, passed away on April 12,2024.

He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas Clifford Sanders and Thelma Hill.  He is survived by his wife Debbie Sanders (D&D LUV), two daughters Dawn Craig (Ryan) and Robin Edwards (Jim), four grandchildren, Evan and Wyatt Edwards and Kyle and Adilynn Craig; one great-grandchild, Elaina Edwards; sisters, Priscilla Saunders and Judy Benthall; and one brother, Tommy Sanders.

Dave retired as a Captain from the Hampton Fire Department in 2000 after 25 years of dedicated service.  He was instrumental in the development of the HTR team.  He also worked 10 years at Anheuser Busch following his retirement from the fire department.

The family would like to acknowledge the GS Mitchell staff at James River Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for the wonderful care they provided Dave.
