John O. McBee passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2023, surrounded by his loving family, following a long battle with vascular disease and complications from diabetes.

John was a long-time resident of Hampton and educated at Hargrave Military Academy; and ended his education at Marshall University in West Virginia where he earned a bachelor's degree.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf and spending time with his family.  He had a long career at Muller Martine where he traveled the world and touched so many lives.  John ended his career with Green Mountain in Windsor, Virginia where he made many new friends.

John is survived by his wife Val McBee; daughter, Stephanie Weaver and her husband Jeff; grandchildren, Taylor, Vance, and Lily; great-grandchildren Bella and Mia; loving sister, Kola Hardin and her husband Joe; brother Jimmy McBee and his wife, Betty; nephew, Luke McBee and family; as well as many extended family members.    He was greeted in Heaven by his mother, Myrtle Moore, Pop, Don Moore, father, Luther McBee, and nephew, Zackery McBee.

A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date.
