John Patterson (JP) Martin, 35, of Hampton, passed away Tuesday, December 23 after a fatal car accident. He was born on September 25, 1979 to John and Sue Martin. After graduating from Phoebus High School in 1997, JP married Heather Rowland. Later he became a father to his pride and joy, Kayla. He worked hard to be the best father he could be for his little Kayla Bug. JP enjoyed working on cars and could fix just about anything! He spent his time riding motorcycles and visiting with loved ones. After Kayla's passing on May 13, 2013 JP still managed to keep a positive outlook on life. He offered daily affirmations that touched so many and will truly be missed. JP is now at peace with his mother, Sue Martin, brother, Donald Martin, son, Trenton and daughter, Kayla Martin. His memory lives on with his father, John Martin, brother, Joey Martin and a host of cousins, and friends. His wonderful spirit and joy will be celebrated Tuesday, December 30 at 6pm at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home.
