John Michael Knize, 43, passed to glory Sunday, May 18, 2014. Born in Waco, TX, he had been a Hampton resident since 1975 where he was a professional machinist for Vision Machine and Fabrication. He was a very creative person, he loved to draw and write poetry. He enjoyed playing pool, but most of all enjoyed being with his family. Preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Jo Knize; survivors include his father, Charles J. Knize, Jr.; four sisters and a brother-in-law. The family will receive friends from 5:30-7:00 PM. Tuesday, May 28, 2014 at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home followed by a service beginning at 7:00 in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be private.
