Obituary
In Loving Memory of John W. Coons, August 4,1921 to October 18, 2016. He is survived by a daughter Linda Marie and Son-in-law John Fabbro, Grandson John William Fabbro and Great Grandaughter Corri Marie Fabbro. He also leaves behind his loving soulmate of 22 yrs Janice Penny, her son Hal Roesch and wife Beth, and daughter Terri Hopkins. John was a decorated
WWII
veteran, former POW,
fought at the Battle of the Bulge, all through Europe, and Africa.
John was a member of the
VFW
for 70 years and supported veterans nationwide. A kind and gentle man, friend to all and enemy to none. A memorial service, will be held at VFW post 3219, Phoebus, VA on October 27th at 3 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to VFW Post 3219 Phoebus, VA.
