John Russell Baranowski, 64, passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2024.  He was born on August 16, 1959, in Virginia to parents Alfred and Franzeska Baranowski.  John enjoyed saltwater fishing and NASCAR, especially when he was cheering on his favorite drivers, Richard and Kyle Petty.

Preceded in death by his parents and siblings; he is survived by his wife of 45 years, Debbie L. Baranowski; his son, John R. Baranowski, Jr. and wife, Crystal; grandchildren, Trista Baranowski, Taylor Baranowski, Savannah Perry and Craig Schnoebelen, Jr.; sisters-in-law, Claire Clark, and Tammy Durham; brother-in-law, Vance Smith and beloved dog, Peanut.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 27, 2024, from 3:00 – 5:00 PM at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home, 245 S. Armistead Avenue, Hampton.
